Animal Aid Foundation Grants
Established in Ontario in 2006
Funding Interests: Animal Protection and Animal Welfare
Granting Region: Mississauga and surrounding area
Types of Support: The Foundation will consider applications for general operating funds with respect to veterinary medical care as well as applications for special projects such as spay/neuter programs, adoption programs and public education programs. Priority will be given to qualified applicants with annual budgets of less than $100,000.
Funding Restrictions: Grants will not be made for capital funds, building funds, emergency funds, computers and technology, conferences or seminars, deficit financing, endowment funds, matching funds, fellowships, scholarships or bursaries, seed money, or to individuals. Grants can only be made to organizations with charitable registration status.
Grants will be given on the condition that if the project for which the money has been granted, fails to proceed, or if the project is not completed, the funds must be returned to the Foundation.
Applicants must provide a final report with respect to the project for which the funds have been granted.
Applicants will acknowledge support received from the Foundation in any publication or publicity connected with the project. The Foundation also requires that it be invited to any public program or project funded by one of its grants e.g. a subsidized spay/neuter clinic.
The Foundation typically makes grants up to a maximum of $5,000 however, it reserves the right to make exceptions from time to time.
At this time, priority for funding consideration will be given to 100% volunteer-run charities.
Please note: an interview and/or a site visit may be required as part of the application process.
